A. PowerGrid Stringer Substructure
The entire internal substructure is engineered for extra strength by using longitudinal stringers throughout the boat locked together. Each Lowe Deep-V model uses a custom engineered PowerGrid system of stringers that’s designed specifically for that application.
B. Super-Tough Welded Aluminum Hulls
Due to it's desirability in this lightweight, hi-performance application, aluminum sections are plasma arc cut from heavy-duty .100 gauge 5052 H-34 marine grade aluminum to provide superior corrosion resistance and hi-impact strength. Our expert craftsmen then create consistent, flawless welds for a smooth clean hull with the good looks of fiberglass.
C. Heavy-Duty Transom Design
Deep-Vs incorporate a fully unitized transom and frame substructure within the hull to handle today’s larger, more powerful outboards. We bond together the transom with six massive longitudinal hull stringers, the wash well deck and internal aft bulkheads, plus the hull bottom and boat sides to create a fully integrated engine pod.
D. Cradle Fixtures Ensure Precise Hulls
Proprietary steel hull-forming fixtures are used to assemble all of the precisely manufactured boat hull components. This unique full-boat steel shaping mold eliminates warping, hooking and misalignment.
E. Stunning Paint Finish and Custom Graphics
Painted models start with our 5052 H-34 marine aluminum and are first hand sanded to create a proper base. Next the hull is cleaned and acid etched, coated with a zinc chromate primer, then baked at 250°. Following a coat of high grade polyurethane enamel, the hull is again baked at 250° and finished with Lowe’s UV protected weather resistant vinyl graphics.
F. IronClad Plywood Decks
All IronClad decks are constructed with nearly indestructible pressure-treated marine plywood and feature the Lowe Boats Lifetime Limited Warranty. Rigid marine plywood is incorporated in Deep-V models because of its superior benefits over some spongy and noisy decks found in competitor’s boats.
G. Polyurethane Closed Cell Foam
To ensure compliance with NMMA and Coast Guard upright and level floatation requirements, and to ensure a quiet and rigid deep-V hull, all available areas of the hull are "shot" with expanding closed cell polyurethane foam further tying the entire boat together as a fully bonded structure. Most models.
H. Extra-Wide Extruded Gunnels
Good looks, boat rigidity, increased convenience and extra bump protection are all part of the new gunnel systems. These 4" wide, heavy-duty, extruded aluminum gunnels are the final component of our bonded SuperLock Construction. They’re designed for snap-in bumper inserts and include an inboard receiver channel (not n FM165) to mount extra accessories.
